Stone Island Is Going Full Performance With New Balance

Stone Island might be known as a luxury brand but the company is taking a stand against being known for strictly fashion with this new collaboration with New Balance. By partnering with New Balance's Tokyo Design Studio, Stone Island has taken a performance-first approach to making their own versions of the RC Elite V2 running shoe. Maybe it's just the incredible photos, but visually these modern running shoes look like they are made of materials from the future. While New Balance might be known for their dad shoe grey sneakers, the Stone Island x New Balance RC Elite V2 is far cry from those more traditional models. With two versions of the Elite V2 highlighted by bright green and red accents, combined with oversized Stone Island branding, these runners could shift the trend from retro to future when they release on June 30th. At $220 retail (according to SN), they could also make a nice addition to your Sneaker Throne.
