With Halloween just a few weeks away, it is officially spooky season. For sneakerheads, that means tons of Halloween and horror film-inspired sneakers filling your feed and some impressive new releases that fall into those categories. One of the most legendary horror film characters, and fan favorite for costume-wearers around the world, is Jason Voorhees. Although the hockey mask-wearing and machete-wielding character from Friday The 13th, which was first introduced in 1980, was never meant to go beyond its first film, the success of the Jason Voorhees character inspired the creators create more stories, resulting in the character becoming one of the most terrifying villains in film history.
Although this release won’t actually come to be, the good folks at House of Heat have created one of the most impressive concept colorways of the season. Taking the Jason Voorhees hockey mask and incorporating it into the toebox, while keeping the rest of the upper dark and eerie like the rest of Voorhees murderous uniform. While these are just a concept, the lack of Halloween releases this year left room for the idea to really standout amongst the traditional sneaker news cycle.
