Dior and Jordan Brand, Louis Vuitton with Off-White and Nike, adidas with Prada, Gucci and Balenciaga, the sneaker game is absolutely flooded with luxury brands collaborating with footwear brands right now. Hate it or love it, the bootleg look of many of these collabs isn't going anywhere and we're going to even more of them as the year progresses. Not only do they sell well, they give footwear brands to sell products at a higher price point, and luxury brands a chance to connect with new consumers who might not shell out thousands of dollars that doesn't a Swoosh or Three Stripes on it.
The latest partnership is between Balanciaga and adidas where the two companies have combined their most well-known sneakers, the Superstar from adidas, and the Triple S from Balenciaga. In addition to the previously seen Three Striped version of the Triple S, a sock-like Speed Sneaker, and handful of apparel items round out the first of this collaboration.
This collab is now up for pre-order on Balenciaga.com but you'll need to fork over $1,100 to get a pair of the adidas x Balenciaga Triple S.
