Nigel Sylvester is one of the most loved BMX street riders in the world. His popularity stems from incredible videos of him riding his bike through the streets of NYC and his connection to celebrity friends. Nigel’s inaugural Air Jordan collaboration dropped 5 years ago, and was the first time a BMX rider was given the opportunity to collaborate with Jordan Brand. Today we get our first look at Sylvester’s latest collab with Jordan Brand, a flipped version of his first AJ1.

The latest Nigel Sylveter x Air Jordan 1 features a black leather upper with white Swooshes features scuffs similar to the first colorway. A mini Swoosh returns on the lateral portion of the toe box, while the sole reuses an aged and yellowed midsole and red outsole. The pre-scuffed details and aging aesthetic is meant to represent Nigel’s “worn” pairs, which naturally get beat up while he navigates the New York City streets on his bike. 

Unfortunately for fans of Nigel Sylvester and his Jordans, this AJ1 is rumored to be a gift from Jordan Brand celebrating the launch of Nigel’s first book and no release date is planned.
