The University of Oregon is known for its unprecedented relationship with the footwear giant, Nike. Located less than an hour's drive from Nike’s global headquarters, the school has become a stepping stone for grads looking to land a job at The Swoosh. For Oregon Duck athletes (and sneakerheads), the other major appeal of the school is the ultra-exclusive collaborative sneakers that are given out to student-athletes. From performance runners to Air Jordan Retros, the number of Oregon Ducks-branded sneakers are plentiful. However, when it comes to production numbers, very few of each style is produced. Case in point, the Oregon Ducks x Nike Air Huarache we see today, which is limited to 345 individually numbered pairs.
With only 345 pairs made, you will have to put in some work, find yourself a connect, or pay a premium on the resale market in order to add the Oregon Ducks Air Huarache to your Sneaker Throne because these will not be released to the public. Details on the shoe are what we’ve come to expect from these rare collaborations. The clean white neoprene base is complimented by forest and volt green accents while smokey gray laces add a subtle yet powerful touch to complete these Ducks' inspired shoes. The mini-Swoosh logo stitched into the toebox adds a unique touch while the “O” logo lands on the top of the tongue. Even the box these come in is adorned with Oregon Ducks colors and graphics.
If you’re lucky enough to get your hands on a pair of the Oregon Ducks x Nike Air Huarache, set them up in your Sneaker Throne and tag us in your IG post, @mysneakerthrone.
