Travis Scott Has ANOTHER Nike Air Max 1 On The Way
Kanye, Drake, and Kendrick may be fighting for everyone's musical attention this week, but Travis Scott continues to own the hype when it comes to sneakers. After our first look at the brown version of his Air Max 1 back in May and a sneak peek at his upcoming Nike Air Trainer 1 earlier this month, a new Travis Scott collaboration has been revealed. The "Wheat" Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1 applies a familiar theme with a new twist, not quite the "Wheat" colorway that has become synonymous with sneaker collabs. We all know that Travis Scott's "Cactus Jack" collabs take on much more than a standard colorway applied to a sneaker, and this AM1 is no different.
The "Wheat" colorway that Travis Scott has decided on is more like an aged yellow than what we normally consider wheat, to give these a slightly vintage look. However, the colorway is just the tip of the iceberg for this upcoming Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1 release. Backwards-facing Swoosh logos on the lateral side of each shoe. The traditional locations for a Nike logo are now home of Travis Scott's branding in the form of a new Cactus Jack logo on the tongue, as well as a new Cactus Corporation branding on the outsole. On the left heel, one shoe features an ACG-like flag label with Nike, on the right the same flag logo features Travis Scott's name. Other unique features include boot-like rope laces, triple lace loops on the tongue, and accent straps to give them an outdoorsy feel. A monotone midsole features a color-matched painted Air cushioning unit.
No release date has been set but RepGod888 claims the Travis Scott x Air Max 1 "Wheat" is set to drop this holiday season.
