Gore-Tex and sneakers are a combination that serves as an alternative to winter boots for many sneaker enthusiasts, and now fans can look forward to the colder season thanks to the renovation of the Air Jordan 5 Retro.
With a dark black "Off-Noir" Gore-Tex upper, the sneaker is ready for more winter weather than your standard issue Air Jordan 5 Retro. The shoes feature 3M reflective tongues, Fire Red accents, and a semi-translucent outsole that are standard offerings on the iconic Air Jordan 5. However, the outsole and mesh side panel come in a slightly milky finish to give the shoe an aged look. From a distance, these won’t look much different than a well-loved pair of Black and Metallic Silver AJ5s, but the bold and heavy “GORE-TEX” branding on the side feels more like a modern-day Supreme collab than a vintage pair.
The “Off-Noir” Air Jordan 5 Gore-Tex is set to drop on December, 1st at select Air Jordan retailers and Nike.com for a retail price is set at $220.
