adidas Made NMDs That Are Completely Recyclable
adidas has been ahead of the game when it comes to sustainability thanks to company-wide commitments to achieving climate neutrality by 2025, and thanks to ongoing partnerships with company's like Parley, who manufacture materials out of ocean-bound plastics they've pulled from rivers and streams. Now, the Three Stripes are taking things to a new level of sustainability with the creation of an NMD S1 that is completely recyclable and "Made To Be Remade."
The Made To Be Remade NMD S1 is a step towards reaching another of the company's ambitious environmentally focused goals. In 2015, adidas announced they would replace all virgin polyester with recycled materials by 2024. The crowning achievement of this Core Black NMD S1, in case it wasn't obvious from the print on the side, is that it is made of entirely recycled materials and can subsequently be recycled after you are done with them. You can even find out where the material came from by scanning the QR code on the shoe. Look for these to drop May 19th on adidas Confirmed.
