If the folklore is right, Travis Scott’s ears have probably been itching all week with the rumors around his upcoming Cactus Jack Air Jordan collabs, While the all black AJ1 Lows are the only ones with an official release date on the calendar, they were also rumored to be Cactus Jack’s last Air Jordan 1 collab. Of course, a few days after that rumor started, a new “Olive” colorway of the reversed-Swoosh Travis Scott AJ1 Lows also surfaced. Earlier in the month, there was even talk of an Air Jordan 7 x Travis Scott collaboration in the works. While there aren’t any leaked photos to accompany the AJ7 rumor, English Sole shared an impressive set of snaps of the yellow “Cactus Jack” Travis Scott x Air Jordan 6 this week.
Taking a departure from La Flame’s traditional color choices, the next Air Jordan 6 from the Houston native takes on a bright yellow hue covering the entirety of the upper. In terms of Jordan 6 colorways and materials, it’s a similar color-blocking and soft nubuck to the green “Gatorade” version that released in 2017. Of course, with Travis Scott’s name attached to it, and the Cactus Jack branding on the heel, this version of the AJ6 takes on the outdoor aesthetic, including the side pocket with the snap closure on the ankle, canvas wrapping the tongue of the shoe, and pops of red for good measure.
Samples of this shoe surfaced long ago but a release never came to be. Although there isn’t a likelihood of these getting an actual release date, the color palette might be the most Throne-worthy we’ve seen from Travis Scott.
