There is no denying that Kobe Bryant’s sneaker legacy was elevated to new heights when he signed with Nike in 2003. In fact, many sneakerheads probably don’t even know just how deep Kobe’s sneaker game was with adidas during the early days of his career. Shoes that are now known as the Crazy 1 or Crazy 8 have been re-released so many times that many forget that young Kobe wearing the #8 jersey had a whole list of kicks from adidas before he even laced up his first adidas Kobe 1.
For those that do remember Bryant’s early years in the League, the adidas Top Ten 2010 should be a familiar, yet somewhat forgotten style. The Top Ten 2010 was originally featured in ads with NFL star Antoine Walker, but the more that Kobe wore the shoes during his days with Shaquille O’Neal, it quickly became commonly known as a Kobe shoe. With a slim-fitting upper and Feet You Wear technology, the Top Ten 2010 was truly a performance beast when it was first released during Kobe’s 1996-1997 rookie season.
