Travis Scott's Nike Collabs Are Dropping SOON!

Travis Scott x Nike Air Trainer 1

6 months after most of the world was calling for his cancellation, Travis Scott is ready to drop 4 new sneaker collaborations with Nike later this month. Last November, Travis Scott, aka La Flame, aka Cactus Jack, was on stage when things turned horrible at his Astroworld festival in Houston. Nearly 5,000 people were injured, 700 of them with serious injuries, and at least ten people died after the crowds pushed towards the stage that Scott was performing on. This week, La Flame performed for the first time in Miami this week ahead of the launch of his album, Utopia. According to Sneaker News, that's not the only thing that Travis Scott is dropping this month.

Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1

Two colorways of the "Cactus Jack" Nike Air Max 1 and two colorways of the Nike Air Trainer 1 will release on May 20th on TravisScott.com and then on the SNKRS app on May 27th. Travis's take on these classics from Nike, flips the script with reversed Swoosh logos on the Air Max 1 and ACG-like add-ons to the designs. For the Air Trainer 1 "Cactus Jack" a removable shroud that snaps to the upper to protect the shoes from the elements gives the shoe a completely new vibe. Not to mention the Cactus Jack branding and very on-brand for Travis Scott, Baroque Brown color palettes. Rope laces and stash pockets further drive home the outdoor-vibes of these upcoming releases. With that said, we can't help but ask, is it too soon after the tragic events of Astroworld for the Travis Scott x Nike collabs to be releasing?
