Sean Wotherspoon Has Another New Collab On The Way
Sean Wotherspoon's collaboration with Disney and adidas that was inspired by the recycling bins at Disneyland hasn't even dropped yet and another new collab is on the way from the Round Two founder. Wotherspoon originally rose to internet fame for winning a design contest with Nike that resulted in his Air Max 1/97 collaboration. Since then, he's collaborated with numerous brands including ASICS, GUESS and more, with adidas being his biggest partner so far, with a handful of sneaker releases resulting from the partnership. Although his "Super Earth" collabs with adidas Originals have all sold out on release days, they remain pretty affordable on the resale market. This upcoming release gives a new color palette to the legendary adidas Superstar.
Wotherspoon has remained true to his vegan beliefs and continued to make the earth-friendly narrative a part of each of his collaborations. The "Superearth" Superstar was the first of his collabs with adidas, originally releasing in 2020 in a white-based colorway. Earlier this year, the Superearth theme was applied to the ZX 8000 runner as well. This upcoming "Superearth" release goes back to the adidas Superstar and switched the color to a black upper that is covered with the extended-length embroidered flowers and logos that have been the theme for Wotherspoon's adidas collabs. For this release, the "S" lace dubray and oversized S lace lock add new elements to the Superstar.
According to House of Heat, these will be dropping before the end of the year.
