Black and Neon Will Make These Air Max Nostalgic For Some

Retro Nike running shoes and bright neon green accents have gone hand in hand since the first pair of Air Max 95s were over 20 years ago. Back then, a bright color like Nike’s “Neon” or “Volt” colors was a rarity. Through the years, The Swoosh has appropriated the color to countless releases from nearly every running shoe in their never-ending vault. 

 

The Nike Air Max 97 “Black Neon” is the latest of the Air Max runners to get a new variation of the fmaoulsy bright color. For this one, the standard options of reflective piping and synthetic uppers are accented with “Neon” Air cushioning units and accents. The colorway has a very Dave White vibe, and even feels like it would fit nicely in the Air Attack Pack that dropped way back in 2009.
