We all have our quirks, and when it comes to the most diehard of Air Jordan collectors, the Nike Air on the heel of the Air Jordan 3 is a dealbreaker. Although the Air Jordan 3 is the shoe that introduced the Jumpman logo to the world, with the introduction of retro variations over 20 years ago, the Jumpman became a problem when it replaced the Nike Air branding on the heel. This year, Jordan Brand is giving collectors a pair that many have been waiting for since 1988 with the Air Jordan 3 Retro in the original Fire Red colorway, complete with the OG Nike Air branding on the heel.
The last time the Fire Red AJ3 released was back in 2013 but that release featured the Jumpman logo on the heel. In addition, early looks at the shoe seem promising even for the ultimate Jordan purists despite a slight change in the Elephant Print. The Fire Red Air Jordan 3 released this week overseas and will release on the SNKRS app on September 10th.
