Boston’s Concepts is one of the most respected sneaker boutiques in the world. Since 1996, Concepts has gone from a small skate-inspired store to a seriously heavy hitter in the fashion game with stores in Boston, New York, Dubai, and Shanghai. If you’re into sneakers, you already know about their most famous collab, the Concepts x Nike SB Dunk “Lobster” that first dropped in 2008. From the red hues of that release, Concepts has embraced the Lobster, a staple in the economy for the New England area, as its go-to inspiration for SB Dunk collabs.

While there isn’t exactly a rainbow of colors being pulled by the lobster fisherman that spend countless hours in Massachusetts Bay, the spots and fades of a lobster shell turned out to be a pretty good formula to create a rainbow of sneaker colorways. Red, purple, yellow, green, blue, and now orange, have been used to fit the formula that the OG Concepts Lobster Dunks. Like most of the colorways we’ve seen before, these are rumored to be a Friends and Family only release, but that doesn’t mean that they might eventually be available to the rest of us.
