With the sheer volume of releases that Ye and his Yeezy brand have been dropping over the past few years, it seems that sneakerheads have kind of become slightly bored with the adidas Yeezy 350 V2. Of course they still sellout thanks to the dedicated resellers and the “I can always resell them” purchasers. However, the general lack of energy around the new colorways, combined with the usual frustrations of not being able to easily secure a pair, has resulted in fewer sneakerheads actually wearing Yeezy’s most popular silhouette. That could very well change with the upcoming release of the new “Slate” colorway.
Scheduled for an early September 3rd, the adidas Yeezy 350 V2 “Slate” colorway is one of a few colorways on the way that move towards a grey and black color palette. Early photos from Yankee Kicks reveal the simplicity of the “Slate” Yeezy release, a stark contrast to the recent Foam Runner colors we’ve seen. The Slate grey upper of this latest 350 V2 is understated, and frankly, will be more wearable for a larger number of sneakerheads. At the same time, the contrasting black side stripe will make it known from plenty of distance that anyone who laces these up is rockin’ a pair of Yeezys. You can grab these for $230 on the adidas Confirmed app and Yeezy Supply on September 3rd.
