Jayson Tatum might not have been able to pull off the miraculous victory for the Boston Celtics in last season’s NBA Finals, but heading into next season the former Duke star will have some heat on his feet as he tries to earn his first championship ring. Tatum has been signed to Jordan Brand for a few years now and although he’s undeniably one of the best players in the NBA right now, a signature shoe from Jordan still seems to be alluding him. However, this pair of Air Jordans inspired by one of Jayson’s many collectible cars is not a bad alternative.
The Air Jordan 14 and Air Jordan 36 Jayson Tatum PEs use shiny black patent details that emulate the gloss black paint on Tatum’s 1966 Ford Mustang. Chrome details from the car have also been translated into the details on both of these upcoming releases. While the original Air Jordan 14 that was inspired by Michael Jordan’s Ferrari has been reworked in red suedes to match the seats in MJ’s Prancing Pony, Tatum’s quilted black leather interior details can be seen across the upper of this modern makeover. While these early photos come from UnistructedVision, release details have yet to be announced.
