Air Jordan 6 Fans Mark Your Calendars

It’s been over 31 years since Michael Jordan won his first title with the Chicago Bulls. While it’s not one of the “Dynasty Collection” pairs that MJ wore on court, the Black and Metallic Silver colorway is somewhat nostalgic for the OG Jordan-heads that will remember the colorway from the low-cut versions of the AJ6 that released in 2005, and then again in 2015. This year’s release is the first of this colorway to land on the more traditional Air Jordan 6 mid that was made famous during Michael Jordan’s first title run and that seemingly miraculous dunk-turned-layup shot that will forever be etched in our memories.

Memories aside, the Air Jordan 6 in a black suede upper is nothing to forget. Much like the Porsche 911 that originally inspired by Michael Jordan’s sixth signature sneaker, the design has survived the test of time in a way that many sneakers haven’t. Legendary Nike designer, Tinker Hatfield, added just the right amount of accoutrements– the lace locks, the folding pocket with the Jumpman logo, rubber pull tabs on the tongue and heel– to the Air Jordan 6, while keeping it wearable both on and off the court. Although for some, the Jumpman logo on the heel might be a downside, it’s hard to deny the appeal of the black sude upper and icy translucent outsole.

According to House of Heat, we can look for these to release on the SNKRS app on October 15th.
