Aside from a brief moment when the sneaker world thought Drake was signing with adidas, Drizzy and Nike have been turning out collaborations for the better part of a decade if you count the Jordan collabs. While Drake isn’t the fashion icon that other sneaker collaborators are, his consistency on the music side of his creative outputs keeps him at the top of the popularity charts. Since his latest sneaker collab steers away from the less traditional choices he has opted for in recent years, the Drake x Nike Air Force 1 “Certified Lover Boy” is all but guaranteed to be one of his most popular yet.
Although it’s been over a year since Drake released his “Certified Lover Boy” album, the rumored delays of this all white Air Force 1 were caused by the challenges of making the details just right. As Drake had the heart shaped into his hair, he replaced the traditional stars on the outsole of the AF1 with the same. The task, however, took a bit longer than usual to get right. Combined with the lingering supply chain issues, the time between leaked images and the Drake x Nike Air Force 1’s December 2nd release date feels like an eternity for Drake fans. Thankfully, the wait is almost over.
