Ronnie Fieg might be known for his massively successful brand, Kith, but when it comes to the sneaker game, he also deserves a huge amount of credit for introducing an entire generation of sneakerheads to one of the most important sneakers ASICS has ever created. 15 years ago, ASICS retro product wasn’t really a thing, but Ronnie convinced the brand to let him re-introduce the ASICS Gel-Lyte III in a number of new colorways. Since then, not only have Fieg and Kith released countless colorways, they’ve also been an important part of bringing back other retro and retro-inspired products for ASICS and many other brands.
While we don’t post teasers with no information very often, in recent days Ronnie Fieg has teased a couple of very important collabs with ASICS, and we couldn’t not talk about them. Some of Fieg’s most memorable colorways of the ASICS Gel-Lyte III have carried the “super” name, including the Super Reds, Super Blues, and Super Greens. In a recent social post, Fieg posted what can be assumed to be a new “Super Yellow” version of his famed colorway. Needless to say, fans of Ronnie Fieg and Kith will be super excited (sorry, I had to) if this colorway actually releases. In addition, a new red accented variation of the GL3 was also previewed. Both of these can be added to another silhouette from ASICS that Fieg recently teased, the EX-89, that Fieg recently revealed as his favorites from an upcoming Kith collections.
We’ll be on the lookout for more information on these Kith collabs in the coming weeks.
