Zach LaVine Has Signed With New Balance

If you're in any way interested in sneakers and NBA basketball, you've probably heard about Zach LaVine being a free agent when it comes to the sneakers he wears. As one of the most talented players in the NBA, a back-to-back NBA Slam Dunk Contest winner, and a member of the Chicago Bulls, LaVine has all the pieces in place to not just get his own signature sneaker line, but to make a serious impact when he does.

LaVine has basically been wearing New Balance for every outing since the NBA All-Star game last month and today it was announced that 2-time All-Star has signed a deal with New Balance. Prior to signing, Zach was a long-time partner with adidas, and wore plenty of Jordans during his early years, but the partnership with New Balance gives him a fresh start and, although he wouldn't fully admit it was in the works, a signature shoe seems like a natural fit.

One of the most interesting things about Zach LaVine signing with New Balance is that it reconnects him with his close friend, Dejounte Murray. Both Murray and LaVine are from the Seattle, Washington area and with never-ending hope of the Sonics coming back to the NBA, it's pretty easy to imagine the colorways and storylines that will be in the works. For now, LaVine will continue to wear the TWO WXY on court, and expand his dad shoe repertoire.
